Job Description

As a Transport Support Assistant you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our transportation activities. You will work closely with the transport team, drivers, and other departments to facilitate the safe and timely movement of goods and personnel. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to the seamless functioning of our transport operations.

Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating and scheduling transportation services for personnel, equipment, and materials.
Collaborate with drivers to ensure vehicles are properly loaded, secured, and equipped for transportation.
Monitor vehicle movements using tracking systems and maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and deliveries.
Communicate with drivers, providing them with clear instructions and any necessary updates or changes to routes or schedules.
Assist in inspecting vehicles for safety and maintenance requirements, reporting issues to the appropriate department.
Manage paperwork and documentation related to transportation, including manifests, logs, and records of maintenance.
Respond promptly to any transportation-related inquiries or issues from both internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise with other departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials, adhering to established timelines.
Assist in maintaining and organizing transportation-related equipment and supplies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of transport processes, suggesting and implementing efficiency-enhancing measures.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or related field is a plus.
Valid Driving License is MANDATORY
Proven organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using transportation management software and tracking systems.
Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance procedures for vehicles.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
Problem-solving skills to address unexpected transportation challenges.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
