We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. You will play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents, providing essential support and ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about person-centered care and want to make a meaningful difference in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support residents during mealtimes, providing feeding assistance where necessary.
- Help with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment (hoists, slide sheets) and techniques.
- Engage with residents to provide emotional support and social stimulation.
- Monitor residents’ well-being and report any physical or behavioral changes to the Senior Carer or Nurse.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including fluid charts and turning schedules.
- Assist in keeping residents’ rooms and communal areas clean and tidy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Attributes: Patient, empathetic, and naturally caring.
- Physicality: Physically fit to manage the demands of manual handling and being on your feet.
- Compliance: Ability to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Values: A commitment to treating all residents with respect and maintaining their privacy.
