Jobs Description

The care home chef is in charge of all kitchen activities. They oversee all processes taking place in the home care kitchen. Whether it is preparing and cooking food or serving the same, the chef must ensure each process goes well without any hitches.

Responsibilities

• Menu planning;
• Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment;
• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner;
• Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards;
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications;
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently;
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift;
• Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards;
• Recording food temperatures.
