Jobs Description
Conference & Events assistant are an integral part for the successful completion of an event.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with basic food preparation activities, including washing, peeling and cutting
- Cleaning and sanitising all tableware and chafing dishes before catering events
- Setting up dining areas by arranging chairs, tables, banners and tents according to the Catering Manager or Events Manager’s instructions
- Loading and unloading food, tableware and catering supplies on and off of catering vehicles
- Answering guests’ questions and handling complaints related to catering services during an event
- Along with colleagues, you will ensure COSHH, food safety and H&S are followed, with any incidents reported in line with documented procedures
- Will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen and service area is always clean, well presented, and well-stocked
- Excellent grooming standards
- Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK
- Good Communication Skills
- Previous Waiter/Waitress experience
- Worked in high-pace environment
- Politeness
- Project management skills (preferred)
- Creative thinker
- Personable and Presentable
- Eagerness to contribute new ideas
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
