Jobs Description
To manage classrooms and ensure students remain on task with pre-set work during the short-term absence of their regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students completing work left by the absent teacher (no active teaching or lesson planning is required).
- Manage student behavior in accordance with the school’s behavior policy.
- Respond to students’ questions about the process or instructions of the assignment.
- Collect completed work and provide handover feedback to the returning teacher.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong behavior management skills, confidence in front of large groups, previous experience working with young people, and an Enhanced DBS.
