To ensure the school site is secure, safe, clean, and well-maintained, providing a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Unlock and lock the school premises, ensuring high levels of security.
- Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and decorating tasks.
- Conduct statutory Health & Safety checks (e.g., fire alarms, water testing).
- Supervise cleaning staff and manage external contractors working on-site.
- Respond to site emergencies (e.g., leaks, break-ins) efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications
Handyperson skills, knowledge of Health & Safety regulations (COSHH, manual handling), and an Enhanced DBS (as they work on a school site).
