Jobs Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. You will play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents, providing essential support and ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about person-centered care and want to make a meaningful difference in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants, providing guidance and delegated task management during shifts.
  • Administer and record medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and legal guidelines.
  • Oversee the implementation of individualized care plans and assist in their regular review.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) and escalate concerns to the Nursing team.
  • Act as a key liaison for family members, providing updates on their loved one’s status with professional empathy.
  • Assist in the induction and shadowing of new staff members.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard, meeting CQC and internal audit requirements.
  • Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies, taking a lead role until a Nurse or Doctor arrives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to motivate a team and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, mental capacity, and health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in digital care management systems (IT literacy).
  • Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS.
