We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. You will play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents, providing essential support and ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about person-centered care and want to make a meaningful difference in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants, providing guidance and delegated task management during shifts.
- Administer and record medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and legal guidelines.
- Oversee the implementation of individualized care plans and assist in their regular review.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) and escalate concerns to the Nursing team.
- Act as a key liaison for family members, providing updates on their loved one’s status with professional empathy.
- Assist in the induction and shadowing of new staff members.
- Ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard, meeting CQC and internal audit requirements.
- Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies, taking a lead role until a Nurse or Doctor arrives.
Minimum Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to motivate a team and handle high-pressure situations.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, mental capacity, and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in digital care management systems (IT literacy).
- Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS.
